Powehi – a double CD musical portrait of Anna Rubin
Anna Rubin has published a new double CD through Neuma Records called Powehi. Story-telling is an important part of many of the pieces, be they for actor and instruments or electronic soundscapes. The piece Powehi is an epic portrait of black holes for actor and two pianos and was commissioned by Piano on the Rocks Festival. The CDs feature both instrumental and electronic music, showcasing the versatility and range of Rubin’s compositions over the last 10 years.
