Composer Josh Levin has been composing classical music for over 20 years. His compositions are typically written in a traditional tonal harmonic style. The first performance of Josh’s music was in college when he arranged Beethoven’s 5th Symphony for concert band. For the past 10 years Josh has been a member of the Composers’ Society of Montgomery County and is currently the organization’s Executive Director.
Although Josh has performed his pieces on piano and clarinet, he prefers hearing them performed by more accomplished musicians.
Josh’s other musical activities have included performing at his synagogue (Shabbat Alive!), and in various rock groups, concert bands, Dixieland bands, and orchestras (including pit orchestras). In his day job, Josh is part of the quality assurance team for a Baltimore-area molecular diagnostics company.
