2020/21 Call for Scores

CALL FOR SCORES for Saturday, September 26, 2020 Sound in Motion VI 

Open only to members of the Baltimore Composers Forum. JOIN

Collaboration with three Maryland based choreographers: Alice Howes, Molly Jean Kirkup Heer and Adrienne Kraus Latanishen.

Orchestration:
open to all instruments except that piano can be featured ONLY on the prerecorded material

Maximum duration:
8 minutes (if submitting more than one piece the combined duration should not be longer than 8 minutes)

—good quality audio recording (please list the performers) (if sending a link make sure that it stays active until 09/26 – for the performance we’ll be compiling all prerecorded pieces onto one CD/playlist)
—pdf of title, name of composer, completion date, duration, orchestration and if your work will be performed live or prerecorded
program note and bio (maximum combined length 300 words)

Submission deadlineSaturday, June 13, 2020 Selections announced by June 23. Composers whose submissions are accepted contribute $60 to help defray the costs.


CALL FOR SCORES for Saturday,  April 24, 2021 concert

Open only to members of the Baltimore Composers Forum. JOIN

Elise Christina Jenkins, mezzo soprano, baritone TBA, Bonghee Lee, piano and Giuseppe Sciuto, flute to be accompanied by Victor Frost, piano.

Orchestration:
Mezzo soprano, baritone, flute, piano and their subsets. Submissions featuring flute and voice(s) are not encouraged due to the very limited rehearsal possibilities. (the flutist is based in Texas). The additional instrument(s)/performer(s) can be added in agreement with the featured musicians; composers are responsible for finding and covering the fees of all additional performers
